It is first day of school and it is also the first time for Marian to be in college, after then they choose their boarding house and room. In the boarding house that she got, in just before entering the house she felt something unusual. Then she thought, "Why am I feeling this, this place seem to be kinda weird. Why am I feeling this so nervous, scared and somewhat curious...why?"
When Marian get to her room there she found three other people: Micheal, Joshua and Cindy...The room looked a bit fade...the walls are not too colored, seemed to be so used, then she felt something strange when the three went to her...especially towards Cindy.
"Hi, I'm Joshua Hummer. I'm 18 and I hope we'll be friends" Joshua greeted her. Then Micheal, "Hey, I'm Micheal Dashen, I'm 18 too, and I hope we'll be friends too." Lastly Cindy...but when Cindy approached to her, Marian felt somewhat cold wind... "Hello, I'm Cindy Cliff, I'm 17, I hope we'll be good friends here. I also hope, you'll enjoy your stay here with us," Cindy greeted.
The Three helped Marian fixed her things in the room. They got a welcome party for her. They got the party until late 9 o'clock in the evening. But when they was about to sleep Cindy asked that she will just get something downstairs so the three permitted her.
An hour passed but Cindy still did not return, so Marian get up and look for Cindy. But when shes downstairs, Cindy was not there instead she saw a note.
"I just need to buy something, please don't wait for me. I will return soon."
So Marian did not wait for Cindy, she then get back to sleep. In her mind she thought. "Buy something in this night? I hope she knows what shes doing."
It is a bright morning, the sun is shining so bright, the birds are singing and the air is so refreshing. All of them get ready for their classes except Cindy who leave a note that she got earlier than then for school.
This routine go on as month pass...
Then a strange happening brought them to curiosity and mystery...
When Marian was about to get back to their room with Joshua and Michael. She saw something near the stairs, it was Cindy...but seemed to look pale then Marian blinked but when she looked near the stairs again...Cindy was no longer there ..So she asked Joshua and Michael if they also saw Cindy there but the two answer that they didn't saw anyone near the stairs so Marian just thought she just hallucinating after all she thinks about Cindy all of those times.
A month later, another happening made them more curious.
The three was looking after Cindy . Then they was walking, they passed a big manggo tree before them...Cindy was first...but when she get after the tree, she doesn't even want beside the tree instead she passed on it like a ghost. then a strong cold wind approached them.
Then a week passed, then three was searching for Cindy. Because she leave a note that she will go to somewhere and if they want to find her they need to search for her and there are clues that will lead them to her.
The first clue was the flower, flower that was rare that you can only buy in a flower shop that is expensive...so they went to that said flower shop when they got there the seller said to them that a girl came there and ask her to give a candle she left to them. The candle was the second clue...then they left, a they walked and looked at the candle, Joshua noticed something on the candle...there were marks on its side. The marks looked like Chinese or Japanese characters.
So they went to Tushuki, one of Micheal's dad's friends. They gave him the candle and let him read the marks for them. When Tushuki held the candle he then said "Where did you get this candle? And who gave you this candle?" We got from the flower shop nearby and that was from our friend who left that in the shop. Why sir, is there something wrong?" Marian answered and asked. Tushuki replied "This candle is full of some kind of energy, energy that is not from living one." "And these marks is a message and also a clue for you to know what or who your friend is." he added.
"Can you read the message for us sir?" Marian asked again. "Of course I will" he answered . Then he read the message.
"Friends are rare for me, but here the three of you came...I need your help...please help me...go to where my life started...in our home and ask who I am...please help me..."
Since Cindy told them where she lives, the three went to Cindy's house and asked for her. But they were surprised for Cindy's mother's answer "Why are you looking for her? are the three of you her friends? and where did you meet my daughter?" Cindy's mother asked. "Actually, yes we're her friends. We met her in our dormitory few months ago." Michael answered. Cindy's mom was so shocked about that and told them "Cindy is already dead 5 years ago so how can you met her?""But she left us a message that she needs our help?" Josh told Cindy's mom. "I'll show you the proof that she is dead." Cindy's mom said to them.
The next day, they went to the cemetery and went to Cindy's grave. They light candles and put flowers. When Marian looked at the side of the grave she saw Cindy, smiling at her looking to her asking for help.

So the three helped Cindy....after weeks the case was solved. Cindy was now in peace. But sometimes the three can still hear her laughs and voice....And in their hearts and mind they know that Cindy will still be guarding them for they are her true friends.
